We realize that budgeting for a painting project can be a challenge. Since the painting trade is unlicensed and unregulated, you can often find contractors willing to perform the same work at dramatically different price points. And at varying levels of quality. With varying expectations of durability and longevity based on, not just the products used, but the techniques as well.

Interior Painting Prices

We price interior painting for two coats over previously-painted drywall surfaces at approximately $.85 per square foot of paintable surface (not floor square footage) for simple surfaces, and up to $1.50 per square foot for more difficult drywall surfaces (for example those requiring more repair or difficult to access). Tall soaring ceilings may be closer to $2 per square foot. Typical trim painting costs are $2 – $3 per linear foot of trim surface, $75 per door frame, and $100 per door. Prices include paint and supplies.
